Media visit Mrs Hoijere hotel

During the restoration and construction process at Mrs Hoijere Hotel, 24 Kungu Street, Liepaja not only were significant restoration and construction works carried out, but a total of 126 different archaeological findings were unearthed.

The project restores the original late 17th century layout of the ground floor, while the 1st floor partly retains the layout of the second half of the 19th century, incorporating new functions into the historic building. The courtyard territory of the Kungu Quarter has also been improved, elements and details typical of Liepāja in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries were added.

The Mrs Hoijere Museum is scheduled to open its doors to the public in 2022.
