The new kindergarten in Katrīnas Street 5A is arranged within an area of 983.20 m². The kindergarten is surrounded by an improved territory with an area of 4216 m² and new playground equipment installed. Four groups are created in the new pre-school education institution, ensuring places for 92 children. On the first floor, rooms for two groups, cabinets of medical nurses, as well as premises for staff were renovated. Also on the second floor rooms for two groups, a cabinet for the methodologist and speech therapist were renovated. All premises are provided with new furniture and equipment necessary for work. On the basement floor, a kitchen block with appropriate catering equipment has been constructed, and also a new hall for physical activities has been created.

The following works have been completed, during the project:

• re-planning of premises;
• replacement of electrical installation;
• replacement of heating system;
• replacement of low intensity current;
• replacement of water pipeline and sewerage;
• improvement of territory – renovation of shelter, installation of playgrounds for children involving playground and physical activities equipment provided by the company ”Proludic”, also rubber flooring was laid on playgrounds;
• lighting of the territory has been installed;
• video surveillance has been installed in the territory of institution;
• installation of kitchen technological equipment of the kitchen block;
• installation of furniture and equipment.
