The reconstruction works of the Southern Tower of Aluksne Castle ruins is a part of the project “The Way of Light Through Centuries”. The objective of this project is to renovate and develop seven national significance cultural heritage objects – the Southern Tower of Aluksne Castle ruins, Pavilion-rotonde, Mausoleum, baggage shed of Aluksne station in Aluksne region, Cesvaine Palace in Cesvaine region, Stameriena Palace in Gulbene region and Smiltene Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smiltene region, preserving their cultural historical value, using their socio-economic potential, offering new and innovative service for their proper functioning, thereby ensuring the availability of qualitative and diverse cultural environment, which will promote the competitiveness of the local community, economic development of the region, attract tourists, create interest in history and increase the pride in the local culture and traditions.
