New buildings of Jurmala Secondary Music School and the Central Library are opened
On 7 September, two new cultural infrastructure buildings will be opened in Jurmala, which will accommodate Jurmala Secondary Music Secondary School and Jurmala Central Library. Combined with the adjacent Jurmala Art School, which was built in 2015, all three buildings and their courtyard comprise Dubulti Cultural Quarter.
The resort city has obtained a new, much more spacious building of Secondary Music School, a concert hall with 400 seats as well as a new, modern building of the Central Library. Already 520 pupils have started their school year on the new premises of the Secondary Music School, which is 60 pupils more than in the previous year. 70 teachers are working at the school.
The buildings of Dubulti Cultural Quarter were built by the association of persons LLC “RE&RE” and LLC “RERE meistari”, the construction design was developed by the architects' office “Skonto būve”, the construction supervisor – LLC “Forma 2”.
