A new and modern station of the State Fire and Rescue Service opened in Ape

RERE BŪVE, the subsidiary of the construction company JSC RERE GRUPA has successfully completed construction works of the new station of the Aluksne Division of Vidzeme Region Brigade of the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) in Ape. This modern station with a total area of 1,071.63² was constructed within the term agreed on in the agreement, and the total construction costs constituted EUR 1,138,988.81.

The new station in Ape, which is situated in Dzirnavu Street 2a, consists of several parts – administration premises with two floors, three fully technically equipped garages and five storeys (16 m) high tower. Currently, this tower is the highest structure in Ape, which will serve for the maintenance of firefighting equipment and for the training needs of the operational service’s representatives. The station is equipped with modern hose lifts, multifunctional premises for the employees of the rescue service, reserve electric power supply is available (diesel generator and UPS device) and a breathing apparatus filling device and compressed air compressor are also installed.

Exactly one year ago, on 22 February 2016, the old SFRS building was demolished, which already long ago was not in compliance with the technical requirements, and construction works of the new depot were started at the same place. The team of professionals involved in the process of the construction project laid the foundations of the building, built walls, assembled metal structures and floor slabs, installed roof insulation, flooring installation works and façade finishing works. Not less significant were the considerable construction works of internal and external networks, installation of stairs and railings, interior finishing works as well as the construction of floors.

The team involved in the project worked professionally all this time, with great passion for this responsible and significant work. I wish that the best of the best firefighters work and train in this building, thanks to whose unselfish and brave work we can feel more protected!” says the Chairman of the Board of JSC RERE GRUPA Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš.
