Ridgepole Celebration of Cēsis City Stadium stands
On 13 February, the Ridgepole Celebration of the future spectator stands of Cēsis City Stadium was organised.
The 2nd round of the construction works of Cēsis City Stadium was commenced in July 2018. As a result of this round of works, stands with 526 seats, 192 standing places and 65 adjusted places for persons with special needs and visitors with baby strollers were constructed. The building will also accommodate athletes' dressing rooms, coach and referee rooms as well as household premises and storage room. The total contract sum for the construction works – EUR 2,014,136.14. The construction of stands is implemented by GP “RERE BŪVE 1”.
Currently, all the bearing and roof structures of the stands building as well as all the delimiting structures of the dressing room building are constructed. In addition, engineering networks have been constructed and a connection to the common city network has been established. Currently, the planned interior and exterior finishing works are implemented. Constructors will also perform laying of road and sports field surfaces, territory improvement and installation of benches, waste bins and bicycle stands.
Cēsis City Stadium was officially opened in April 2018. During the period from June to December 2018, the stadium has received almost 55,000 visitors.
After completion of the 2nd round of the stadium construction, the construction of the floorball field and skating rink is also planned.
