New home of the newly renovated Ogre municipality Social Service has been solemnly opened

On 23 August, the new home of the Social Service of Ogre municipality and its departments at the Upes Prospekts 16, Ogre, was opened within the framework of Ogre city festival. As a result, all the services related to social assistance will be available in one place rather than at different addresses, as it has been the case so far, and in the city centre.

The former educational establishment building has been adapted to social working needs, by means of rebuilding its premises into housing units - one of which will be operated by the Social Service Administration and the Ogre social centre with its departments – the social assistance department, the support department for families and children, and the social care and rehabilitation department.
The renovation work of the building was carried out by “RERE BŪVE, RE&RE un Campaign”, and Mr Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš, manager of the RERE Group, in an event, thanked his team and the local government for their active involvement: “The building has not only a new form but also content that would provide double satisfaction. It should be said that Ogre is one of the first municipalities having used innovative methods in the construction process, which was something new and interesting also for us. We have carried out the planned project, which is functionally modern, accessible and suitable for the building employees and visitors. I wish everyone in this place to get a feeling of home, support, help and advice when needed."
